Kerry A. Bettenhausen

Strategic Marketing

Ms. Bettenhausen leads our marketing and business development efforts. She has run major corporate initiatives in the financial services, retail and healthcare sectors including thought leadership, new product development, and marketing. She is regularly recognized for her skills in human resource management and received numerous awards. Ms. Bettenhausen works with national brands including H&R Block, American Century Investments, Merrill Lynch, TIAA-CREF and Hallmark.com. She is also President of the consulting firm Contracting Chaos.

Ms. Bettenhausen has collaborated with corporate executives for over 15 years. She has managed over a dozen creative agencies, leading large editorial teams and providing marketing strategy for innumerable marketing programs including work on Superbowl ads, Olympics, LIVESTRONG® and national advertising in television, print and radio as well as national contests. Before most asset management firms were using social media to promote their portfolios, Ms. Bettenhausen implemented American Century Investments first online interviews and video clips for investment teams and senior management.

For TIAA-CREF, Ms. Bettenhausen was responsible for leading all marketing strategy for over 150 existing Institutional Healthcare clients. She was also selected to be a core member of the business development of the long-term healthcare offer and regularly met with healthcare leaders (both clients and industry members) to build a solid retirement model for healthcare employees.

While at H&R Block Financial Advisors (Now Ameriprise), Ms. Bettenhausen was responsible for defining brokerage and investment advisory product strategy and continued oversight of all Brokerage and Investment Advisory products for the organization, including the company’s first fee-based brokerage and separate account wrap/mutual fund and ETF wrap investment advisery accounts. She was at the forefront of designing new programs such as the integrated H&R Block tax offer bundled in fee-based products.

Ms. Bettenhausen also has extensive experience in sales presentations, driving participation in marketing-based programs, designing large-scale events, developing pricing models, P&L, sales strategy and forecasting, budgets and design enhancements for product rollouts and negotiating vendor contracts.
